Asian Heritage awards

my japanese teacher has been nominated for an asian heritage award (for education). so please go vote for her

FUMIKO TACHIBANA, a language professor, writer, poet, and world traveler, has taught Japanese at high schools and colleges throughout San Diego and annually takes students from her classes to visit Japan on her own time. Last year, she developed an official summer program at Palomar College open to all members of the community, earning her recognition as a Most Distinguished Faculty Member. “I have always found it important to teach about Japanese culture and try to remove many of the misconceptions that people seem to have created about us as a people and a society. I hope that through the teaching of Japanese, I can bring more understanding.”
