There's a story from the mid 50's about a guy who wants to work in the oil fields...
He goes to a drilling operation and asks for work. The foreman asks if he has any experience.
The guy admits that he has none. the foreman then tells him to come back when he does have experience. The guy, frustrated by running into this repeatedly, asks where he can get experience... the foreman says, "Well, if you DO find a place, tell me.. I know a dozen guys looking for some."
Catch-22.
I am currently checking for a sub, but want to find out if there is anything ELSE I need to know to encode. Yes, I have been working with Aegisub... I even use the muxer to help.
Still, I have to wonder if there's anything else I would need to know. Nowhere to find out, either.
Anybody else out there like me?
