Episode 5
The episode opens up with a quick cooking lesson outside.
As usual Satoko is up to her usual mischief and it is not long before everyone’s dishes our fouled in some way.
Calamities aside in this episode we discover Mion is developing feelings for Keiichi and she takes a moment to reflect on his gift. In return she fixes Keiichi a late-night meal under the “disguise” of Sion. Well, that is what I think, Mion is too bashful to admit the truth.
Unknown to both there are some unexpected onlookers. Spooky.
As is often the case Keiichi is oblivious to Mion’s brewing feelings and decides to buy Sion a similar gift from Mion’s shop no less! When will these guys learn XD
On the big day of the festival Mion is seething while Keiichi and Sion are being naughty kitty’s exploring forbidden grounds…
It not long before paranoia sets in over the Oyashiro curse with people fleeing and generally freaking out.
And before long there are some victims. But this is not a carbon copy of early renditions; there is a twist to this version of events!
Episode 6
As always when it rains it pours in Higurashi. One death is never enough as paranoia sets in and new targets are identified and rounded up.
Bloody scenes follow with some enhanced interrogation techniques used but these scenes are a little too gruesome to show. You will have to watch the anime to see that gore. Things do settle into more familiar territory and Keiichi does make a confession using the example of a hypothetical set of kitties. This silly explanation gets a dressing down by Rika.
It is not long before there are more casualties.
These strange disappearances do attract the attention of multiple people.
In what can only be described as twisted love Keiichi is invited out and kept trapped for his own safety…
Things hit a climax at the end as this episode gives us a double send off with a pretty grizzly scene. Note I have covered the final pic with a spoiler tag due to gore. You have been warned!
