My views on porn is this...

Porn can be good... it relieves sexual stress as tonifreyr-san stated clearly. I also agree with tonifreyr-san with the whole Hentai thing, I also feel sorry for the actress or the female part of the whole scene...

However, I do detest beasialty porn and videos of females actually being raped. I HIGHLY detest those videos.

)..so basically if a person raping another is determined by the person's mindset and understanding more than their porn watching hours..so instead of banning porn it would be more useful to make kids understand that their time may be better served if used in a more productive fashion...2ndly though i dont watch porn im totally against banning it since we do live in democracies-which means that a person can do WHATEVER they want if they are not physically/emotionally harming other people..now if a person wants to watch porn and jack off he has every right to and banning porn or even looking down at such a person is an infringement of our rights to freedom as humans..and to reduce rape it is more imp to provide good education standards for everyone-cuz rape,murder and crimes are commited depending on a persons mindset and generally the people who commit them are mostly people who havent attended awsum universities and stuff-they are people with poor educational background..we should not be so short-sighted to see everything as cause and consequence(porn=rape)-a consequence can have a totally unrelated cause too..personally iv found my friends who dont watch porn to be more patient in their relationships(on the physical side)-mostly cuz that gets satisfied by porn so they can concentrate on the real relationship as such..so basically provide better education,opportunities and social environment for the kids instead of bothering so much about how porn is gonna make our lil kids raping monsters

When people say porn is exploiting female bodies for pleasure... that is the most unbacked statement there is, I'm sure that 99% of the females in pornography, knew that males and even females in cases, will be watching them "being exploited." so if the candidate in the porn already knows this, then I see no problem in it. Unfortunately the human race has become so involved in greed and gluttony that porn is an outcome, instead having sex for the pure reason of procreation, it is now the pure symbol of lust and pleasure. Which is why nobody has the right to criticize something they are all responsible for, you have a choice to watch it or not, you are not less of a human-being if you choose to do so, therefore the choice of whether porn is good or bad, is all down to the person choosing.
I am going with good, as being able to understand how unrealistic porn was/is gave me a greater outlook on life.

First thing to be said: Porn CAN'T be good OR bad because it's a thing.
The people are these who make good or bad use of it.Only these deeds can be good or bad but not the thing itself.
Second thing to mention is :who it is used by and how it is used.
It's definetly not wise to show porn to children or impotent people because it may be only graphic violence for them/disturb their evolution.
Third thing is your opinion of these people who are creating porn.You can't come with prejudices like it's dirty,old fashioned or against social morality.

Anyways, if you think about it, porn is quite useless.The only logical purpose for sex
is to reproduce ones' kind and porn would die out if they would just show effective
reproducing because noone would watch this.
I think porn hints at peoples ability to imagine,fantasy.It's like in the days of childhood

Well porn is not really good or bad. Its really your opinion on it. One view its really just man and a woman or sometimes the same gender having sex. But mostly porn is just for kids or young people who have not known about love or relationships, or maybe someone who is lonely. But sometimes ""I know someone who got these ideas"" a kid can get the wrong ideas from it because they were not taught about sex and love at a younger age so they think money shots and this and that is love and what sex is about. Amen to that. It is not objects that are evil, it is how we view it to be. But you must always remember that women are not objects so dont treat them as such. People in the adult industry deserve as much respect as other citizens do.

What is bad though, is Child exploitation and I think we all agree that Paedophiles should basically be hung drawn and quatered.
