Streaming Music With TeamSpeex

1.) Install Soundflower which is a software audio router:

a.) Run the Soundflower Installer.pkg.
b.) Enter your administrator account password.
c.) Install Soundflowerbed: drag it into the Applications folder.

2.) Send the output from iTunes to TeamSpeex.
a.) Click the TeamSpeex menu and select Preferences.

b.) You will be presented with a dialog box Select the Audio Tab. Click the arrows to the right of “Audio Input” and Select Soundflower (2ch) from the pulldown menu.

c.) [Note: iTunes does not permit you to specify audio devices so you must make Soundflower the default sound output device.] Click the TeamSpeex menu and select Preferences.

d.) Click the System Sound Preferences button.

e.) Choose Soundflower (2ch) as the device for sound output.

3.) To hear what you are streaming you must use Soundflowerbed.
a.) Locate Soundflowerbed in your Applications folder and launch it.

b.) Click on the image of a flower to the right or your menu bar and select Built-in Output from the pulldown menu.

4.) Before you start streaming select Voice Activation.
a.) Click the TeamSpeex menu and select Preferences.

b.) You will be presented with a dialog box Select the Voice Activation Tab then tick the checkbox next to Voice Activation.

5.) You can now play a song in iTunes and you will start audio streaming via TeamSpeex.

[Note: remember to change back to Push to Talk after you have finished streaming.]
 
Karaoke with TeamSpeak

Before you start singing select Voice Activation.
1.) Click the TeamSpeex menu and select Preferences.

b.) You will be presented with a dialog box Select the Voice Activation Tab then tick the checkbox next to Voice Activation.

5.) Play a song in iTunes (make sure that iTunes volume is not too high or you won’t be heard) and start singing.

[Note: remember to change back to Push to Talk after you have finished.]
